The TRUST Sponge Bit is designed for horses with very sensitive mouths or mouth injuries. It is not recommended to ride with this bit. The sponge bit is designed to allow an ointment/medicine to soak into the damaged mouth. The TRUST Sponge Bit is best used in conjunction with TRUST Wunder Elixer, a natural blend designed to help heal the corners of the horse's mouth.
