Special properties
The fly rug offers excellent protection against any insect. This makes the blanket very suitable for horses with sensitive skin. The blanket is equipped with a special three-point closure. This closure reduces pressure on the chest and withers, so that comfort is not disturbed while grazing. For extra protection there is a neck section with the blanket.
Fabrics & materials
The fly rug is made of a dense mesh fabric. This keeps almost all insects away and is extremely strong. The blanket is therefore an ideal pasture companion for many summers. Because the fabric is smooth on the inside, it has a soft feel and no hairs hang in the blanket. Thanks to the light color of the blanket, it reflects the sun's rays and does not retain heat. The fine mesh fabric also ensures good air permeability. The chest, mane and tail area are lined with a smooth polyester lining that prevents chafing.
Shape & size
The fly rug is anatomically shaped to stay in the right place, even after rolling. The chest piece is closed by means of a strong Velcro closure and the special three-point closure. The three-point closure allows you to better adjust the blanket for an even better fit. There is a special belly flap to protect the abdomen. This flap is secured by a Velcro strip and three straight abdominal surcingles. Because the flap is close to the horse, you prevent insects from flying into the blanket through the sides. The tail flap is slightly longer than normal and has an elastic on the inside. The elastic allows your horse's tail to stay close to the blanket and provide more protection. The detachable neck part is reinforced with a thicker and stronger weave, which prevents it from slipping down. Because the reinforcement is placed on both sides of the neck, it does not exert direct pressure on the mane.
Maintenance tips
The fly rug is washable at 30 degrees, then let it air dry.
